Resource Lab

Here you will find various internet resources that I have discovered and am curious to explore.  Hopefully they will aid you in your study of the Spanish language.  Try some of them out and let me know if you find them useful!

PRONUNCIATION:

http://www.forvo.com/  Type in a word you need help pronouncing and listen to a recording of a native speaker saying the word.

http://www.lingolex.com/pronounce/ Another site with audio clips and some explanation.

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Spanish/Pronunciation#Local_pronunciation_differences  This site has a pretty good explanation of pronunciation rules.

http://www.members.tripod.com/spanishflashcards/ An excellent site for audio examples and pronunciation practice.  I also list it below under general knowledge sites since it has all sorts of useful activities. Some activities require membership.

CONJUGATION:

http://www.quia.com/jg/65830.html
A quirky site with some simple interactive games to practice -ar, -er and -ir verb conjugation in the present tense.

General Knowledge Games:
http://www.digitaldialects.com/Spanish.htm  An even quirkier site with some useful audio exercises ALTHOUGH the site is based on Spanish from Spain (Castellano dialect) so the pronunciation is more of an international sort.
http://www.purposegames.com/games?t=1165&so=mp Many timed vocabulary games to explore.
http://www.members.tripod.com/spanishflashcards/ An excellent site filled with all sorts of listening activities, quizzes, etc. Some activities require membership.

Dictionaries:
http://www.spanishdict.com/  A good translation dictionary.

http://www.wordreference.com/ Another good translation dictionary.

http://es.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikcionario:Portada

A great Spanish language dictionary, especially for verb conjugations.
